Money in the Bank Qualifiers: Who Will Enter into the Match Next?

Last week on SmackDown, interim general manager Vickie Guerrero revealed that the World Heavyweight Championship Money in the Bank match would be open to anyone and that qualifying matches would determine the participants.
The show saw four matches determining five of the superstars in the match. Damien Sandow would defeat Zack Ryder, Christian and Santino Marella defeated Cody Rhodes and David Otunga, Tyson Kidd beat Jack Swagger and Tensai took out Justin Gabriel to qualify for the match.
With the Money in the Bank match featuring six to 10 superstars throughout the years, fans could see up to five more join the match.
Which superstars will get the chance to qualify and who will win?
Cody Rhodes started a protest to get another chance to qualify after Otunga lost him the match last week. Will Rhodes get another chance?

Canada Day and the State of Canadian Wrestling in WWE and TNA

Today is Canada Day, a day observed for our neighbors of the Great White North. Canada has a very rich history in professional wrestling, and while Canadians are not currently as pronounced as usual, there influence remains significant.
The current TNA Heavyweight champion, and the longest reigning TNA Champion of all-time, Bobby Roode, is Canadian. The talented heel character looks to be one of many pieces that TNA needs to be remotely competitive with WWE as a power in the monopolistic mainstream wrestling scene.
Chris Jericho will go down as one of the greatest Canadian imports of all time, and the multiple-time world champion recently returned to the WWE after a much-publicized 30-day suspension. Jericho is on borrowed time during his recent run with his rock band, Fozzy, set to enter a summer tour of Europe.
Also recently returning was underrated star Christian, who currently reigns as the Intercontinental Champion.
WWE celebrated Canada day a bit early on Smackdown, as Hart Dungeon Disciple Tyson Kidd defeated Jack Swagger in what was easily the most important win of his singles career, as he has earned a spot in the world heavyweight championship Money in the Bank match.
Big names in Canadian wrestling such as the aforementioned Chris Jericho and Bret "the Hitman" Hart congratulated Kidd on Twitter for his major accomplishment.
Canada is far less represented in the WWE Divas division with the primarily Canadian star being Natalya, whose immense talent has been smothered over the past several months in favor of sophomoric farting gimmicks and unenviable enhancement assignments.
Hard work and technically skilled work rate seems to be a staple in Canadian wrestling as the legacy of the perfectionist, yet frightening Hart Dungeon lives vicariously through its select few graduates while seemingly serving as a source of pride for Canadians lucky enough to avert that path to the big stage.
Canadian wrestling is as good as it gets and has given us technically sound classics between all time greats. As the tradition of Canadian wrestling continues, so does the evolution of professional wrestling.

Why WWE Must Give Dolph Ziggler a Face Turn

One of the rising stars of the WWE is without a doubt Dolph Ziggler. Now that the storyline between him and Jack Swagger has faded, and with Vickie Guerrero heading a different direction after being the interim manager of Raw and SmackDown, it is time for the WWE to give Ziggler a face turn.
In my opinion, he is making all the right strides in and out of the ring in order to be a successful face. Fans love him, and he has improved his abilities in the ring.
The question is simply begging to be asked: Who would he have a feud with?
A few names come to mind, but I really think that he could have a great feud with John Cena. Cena is obviously the face of the WWE, but why not give him a shot at turning heel leading into SummerSlam? The idea behind Money in the Bank that Cena announced on Raw last week is going to be a huge disaster.
I don't understand why the WWE would decide to have a "former champions" only MITB match instead of promoting some of the young talent, but hopefully there is a new plan put into place for SummerSlam.
Another guy that would face up really well with Ziggler is CM Punk. The WWE Champion is more than likely going to continue his beef with Daniel Bryan, and will probably lose the title to him in the near future, so a change of plans for Punk is also imminent.
Finally, I think that Ziggler could be the guy to go after the Big Show. Show is arguably the biggest heel in the WWE right now and has been for quite some time. I think the public is getting a little tired of the same routine between him and Cena, and wants someone new to step up. Why not Ziggler?
Dolph Ziggler could very easily be the next big star, but in order for that to happen the creative team needs to find a way to make a face turn in his direction.

John Cena on Pace to Become Most Awkward Money in the Bank Winner Ever

As of right now, the WWE Championship Money in the Bank match doesn't look right.
No high-flyers. No up-and-comers. No future stars.
Zero potential.
Jericho. Big Show. Kane. Cena. Did I miss something?
A quartet of star power will take the stage to battle for the right to earn what has become one the most valuable title in pro wrestling. Nobody has ever failed to win a major championship after cashing in a Money in the Bank briefcase, which is what makes it so important to the progression of budding superstars.
So, when a match that is intoxicated with hope showcases top stars and main event mainstays, all while being exclusive to former WWE champions this time around, where's the intrigue?
Surely, this won't be the last time we see any of these fab four contenders in the WWE title picture, so where's the sense of urgency necessary to make this ladder match pop?
With John Cena once again declaring his candidacy to be the next WWE champion, he has to be considered the odds-on favorite to win the Money in the Bank match, thus awkwardly carrying around an opportunistic briefcase as a top star masquerading in a suspicious stench of fortune.
It certainly wouldn't be very becoming of a star of Cena's stature to score a cheap victory over a WWE champion the way we've been accustomed to seeing the MITB briefcase used. If and when that time comes, expect Cena to do so honorably, announcing beforehand his intention to enter a fair fight for the WWE's richest prize.
Or maybe, just maybe, this is the vehicle to see Cena do something dastardly. You know the rest.
Time will only tell why the WWE is so intent on loading the WWE Championship MITB match for bear.  But as usual, they seem to know something that we don't.

With a big portion of the Pro Wrestling business being based around storytelling, it comes as no surprise that many wrestlers have appeared in film and television roles.
Some of these appearances are clearly better than others, but with wrestlers having experience acting as well as having a high level of physicality, it makes them perfect for tough-guy roles.
Guys like The Rock, Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash and Roddy Piper are no strangers to the Hollywood system. They have managed to create another source of income without destroying their bodies hundreds of nights each year.
Today's WWE is filled with great talents who have begun to pop up here and there in films. John Cena has had a few starring roles in WWE films, and Edge has began moving into acting by agreeing to appear on the SyFy show Haven this season.
In this slideshow we will take a look at seven WWE superstars who could have the dramatic and comedic skills to go far in Lala-land.
Many WWE stars have already starred as main characters in feature films, but this list will focus on those with little to no acting experience outside the ring.

WWE News: John Morrison Stars in New Funny or Die Video

Looks like John Morrison is at it again, as he tweeted the following Thursday afternoon.

This is the second video that he has done for the site, and it looks to be another hit.  The video can be found here and features Morrison as a street thug with an accent. Ultimately, the video is a mildly entertaining commercial for the new Irish Spring body wash. Even though it's a sponsored video, Morrison still managed to expand his repertoire and add yet another project to his resume.
In the end, Morrison is proving that there is life after wrestling and may prove to be one of the few that succeed outside of the ring. Since his departure, Morrison has been involved in several acting roles, launching a new fitness program and doing very limited in-ring appearances at indie shows.
Morrison's acting projects have allowed him to work with the likes of "Weird Al" Yankovic and Jessica Alba. Even with the little time Morrison has spent in ring, he still managed to land a world title at one of those events.
If Morrison keeps this up, he will likely not need to step back into a WWE ring, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.
